Refund & Return Policy

Every Fendermaker product is handmade in Sweden. As a small craft business, many of our products are made individually and some are made specifically to a customer’s requirements.

Standard products

For standard products purchased through our online store, we accept returns in accordance with applicable consumer law.

To be eligible for a return, the item must be unused and in the same condition as received.

To request a return, please contact us at fendermakerforboats@gmail.com before sending the item back. Items returned without first contacting us may not be accepted.

Unless otherwise required by applicable law, the customer is responsible for the cost of returning the item.

Custom & Made-to-Specification Orders

Products made specifically according to a customer’s requested dimensions, design, material, finish, rope type or other individual specifications cannot be returned or exchanged due to a change of mind where the applicable law provides an exception to the right of withdrawal for such goods.

This includes custom orders and individually specified products agreed through email or other direct communication with Fendermaker.

Please carefully review all measurements, materials, reference images and other specifications before approving your order. Once production of a custom-made product has started, the order cannot be cancelled where permitted by applicable law.

This does not affect your statutory rights if an item is defective, damaged, or does not correspond to the specifications agreed upon.

Handmade Products & Natural Materials

Every Fendermaker product is made individually by hand. Natural and reclaimed rope may vary in colour, texture, patina and appearance.

Small variations between products are a natural part of traditional craftsmanship and the materials we work with. These natural variations are not considered defects.

Damages, Defects & Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order when it arrives and contact us as soon as possible if the item is damaged, defective or if you receive the wrong item.

Please include your order number and, where possible, photographs of the item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exchanges

If you wish to exchange an eligible standard product, please contact us first at fendermakerforboats@gmail.com.

Custom and made-to-specification products cannot be exchanged due to a change of mind where the applicable legal exception applies.

Refunds

Once an eligible return has been received and inspected, we will notify you whether the refund has been approved.

If approved, the refund will be issued to your original payment method. Please note that your bank or credit card provider may require additional time to process the refund.

Original shipping charges, customs duties, import taxes and other charges paid to third parties are not refundable by Fendermaker unless required by applicable law.
